The quintessential PB&J sandwich. It’s a classic childhood favorite and an easy go-to snack when you’re crunched for time. But, how could we take this classic and make it even more satisfying? Let’s grill it, of course! The warm and gooey peanut butter and jelly sandwiches make a great breakfast or hot treat during the cold season, and it’s super easy to make.

The PB&J is a classic, and with as many varieties of peanut butter, jelly, fruit preserves, and add-ons, the possibilities are endless. Grilling your sandwich gives you a warm and gooey treat that's sure to please, especially in the colder seasons.

Ingredients
  1. 2 slices sandwhich bread, choice
  2. 1 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  3. 1 1 - 2 Tbsp Peanut Butter, choice
  4. 1 1 - 2 Tbsp Jelly or Preserves, choice
Instructions
  1. Heat a medium non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Make your PB&J sandwich to your liking.
  3. Butter one side of the sandwich on the outside with 1/2 tsp butter.
  4. Place sandwich buttered-side down in heated skillet.
  5. Butter the other side of the sandwich with 1/2 tsp butter.
  6. Cook until golden brown on bottom, then flip and cook opposite side until golden brown.
  7. Slice in half and serve warm.
  8. Serve with a glass of cold milk for a classic PB&J pairing!
Notes
  1. Get creative! Try these with Nutella, cream cheese, brie cheese, bananas, marshmallows, or walnuts! Use leftover turkey and cranberry jelly to make a grilled thanksgiving holiday sandwich.
