The Story Behind the Restore Home Loans Logo

When I began designing the logo for Restore Home Loans, I wanted to capture a sense of trust, stability, and forward movement. Buying a home is one of the most important steps in a person’s life, and the brand’s identity needed to communicate both professionalism and approachability. The final design brings together clean typography, bold colors, and a simple yet meaningful symbol that ties directly to the company’s mission.

The logo’s most recognizable feature is the pair of chevrons. These chevrons point upward, symbolizing growth, progress, and moving toward a brighter future. They also subtly suggest the roofline of a home, making a direct visual connection to the mortgage and housing industry. The space between the chevrons creates a sense of openness, reinforcing the brand’s values of transparency and trustworthiness.

Color plays an important role in the identity. The rich Restore Copper (#C4700E) was chosen for its warmth and grounding qualities, evoking both stability and optimism. Paired with strong black and clean white, the copper stands out as a vibrant accent while still maintaining a professional tone. The supporting Standard Gray adds balance and flexibility for different applications, whether in print, web, or signage.

Typography also helps set the tone for the brand. The primary font, Obviously Narrow Black, is bold and confident, making the company name impossible to miss. The secondary font, Obviously Wide Medium, complements it with a more open and welcoming feel for the “Home Loans” tagline. Together, the fonts reflect both the strength of a trusted lender and the approachability of a partner guiding clients through their home-buying journey.

This combination of symbolism, color, and typography creates a logo that’s both visually striking and deeply meaningful. It tells the story of what Restore Home Loans stands for: guiding people upward, toward their dreams, with integrity and clarity every step of the way.
